Welcome!!! Nothing is too taboo to discuss here and you will not face judgment. Suicide and Mental Health are usually associated with pain, darness and dispair. It doesn't have to be, lets try a new approach and use peace, love and maybe even some amusement as we help one another, remind one another and even ourselves that ; its ok not to be ok ;
In 2021 my nephew decided his story didn't need to be written anymore. This was a devastating situation for myself and my family, our normal has changed forever. This situation made me start thinking about my past and even my own son. Unfortunately we have both been where my nephew was. A dark cloud hanging over us that is very hard to crawl from underneath. The stigma society puts on those of us that "are not ok" makes it even harder to reach out for help.
Usually it's easy for me to comfort someone and talk with them and help them through devastating situations in their own lives when it was time for me to help my own family though it was hard, one of the hardest things I had ever experienced before in my life. I reached out blindly not knowing where to turn and found American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Since August 2021 my daughter and I have become advocates for AFSP and NAMI and also Overdose Lifeline.

In 2021 with the help of my daughter we founded "Jason's Journey" to keep his story going and to help raise awareness for other people suffering. We quickly realized it wasn't just Jason that had a twizted journey, everyone has a journey and every journey is twizted in its own way.. So began Twizted Journeys.

Here at Twizted Journeys you can find:

; it's okay not to be okay ;
In the world we live in today its so very important to not whisper, hide or be afraid to talk openly about the subjects you will find on our site.
